The New Member of the Family

Okay the wait is over! The baby is finally here. Our digital camera crashed, so we weren't able to get pictures on the computer right away.

Meet baby Sydney. She came to us on Oct. 26th at 8:49pm, weighing in at 7lbs 10oz.. She is a gorgeous little girl. Very content, and doesn't cry much. We can't really decide yet who she looks like. I think the dark hair is throwing us a little. Noah is proud to be a Big Brother. He asks to hold her every night. It only lasts for about thirty seconds, but at least hes asking. I don't see any jealousy yet, hes always happy to help out. He talks to her, lets me know when she has spit up, brings me diapers, hes my big helper. Right now she is three weeks old. Sydney gained a pound an a half at her two week appointment. She isn't doing much yet besides eating, sleeping, pooping and peeing. It keeps me busy.

Here is Uncle Dave showing Noah how to use the camera. Noah loves to look at the pictures, but for some reason now, he doesn't like his picture taken anymore.Below, shows Noah riding his bike. Mike and I spent alot of time this summer outside chasing him around. Either on his bike or his little jeep. He is a typical kid, always wants to be outside and the dirtier the better! There is a bunch more pictures that I could put on but I have to make room for the families new addition!

Alot of catching up to due

Hello All

Ooh I am so bad. I didn't realize it has been so long since I've had a posting. I really don't have any excuses either. I have to give a recap of the last year pretty much.
Well, first I guess, as most everyone knows I am pregnant. We found out in March. That was an emotional rollercoaster for us. Just knowing how hard the first pregnancy was, we didn't know if we could even carry another one full term. It was hard being so excited but yet so fearful of what could happen. An early ultrasound verified the due date would be November 9th. Thanks to excellent prenatal care and surgery in the first trimester the pregnancy is still going strong.
Lets skip to summer. Mike and I really enjoyed this summer with Noah. Being two certainly helps. He was able to do alot more things and not be so scared. We were able to take him to the county fairs and carnivals. So he was able to ride them with no problems. He was quit a showoff. His favorite is still the big huge slide, that takes a hundred steps to get to the top. Daddy had to go up and down this year:) We took him to see as many petting zoos as possible. He loves to feed the animals. He also got to go on many pony rides. Its so gratifying knowing that at the end of everyday he had so much fun, with his big smiles and laughs. Of course he talks nonstop about it now. Noah is also on his way to being a great fishing buddy. He can cast his Lighting Mcqueen fishing pole really good. We had him out on the lake quit a bit. Daddy took the weight off the pole and put on a tiny hook, with a wax worm on it and let him troll. Dad was fishing for bass and northern and catching "big dudes" so he wanted to catch something. Of course I wasn't paying attention to his pole. I turn around and saw his pole bending. Here he had snagged a sunfish. He was so excited telling me to get the net. Really it was more like catfood. Hey it was his first fish. Which he calls a "Sunnyfish" Anyway I had to get the net and make it look good. The disappointing part was I couldn't get the camera to work, so there was no pictures. Thats alright-Ice Fishing is coming, I'm sure we'll get some more!
In July, Dave came from Seattle to visit for a few days. Thats always fun for Noah and Dave. Noah makes Dave do all kinds of crazy things. Dave will play rough with him. I can't do that, not yet anyway. Its always sad to see Dave go. He is a great playmate (Hee-Hee).
The rest of the summer we did the usual. Camping, bonfires, fireworks, learning how to ride bike, going to the playgrounds, swimming.
Now fall is here. Mike is back to school for the last year of his plumbing, heating air and refrig. program. Lets see if he can make the Deans list again.
As for me, well I have been on bedrest since 32 weeks. I am now 37 wks. The only time I can get out is my weekly OB appts. Baby is doing great. I am feeling miserable and can't wait to be done. The C-section will be Nov 3rd. Unless there is a huge change. Pics and videos to come soon

Terrible Twos

Here is a couple pictures from his party in St. Cloud, Here at home and how he felt after.
Trying the frosting first, then the toys, hmm- okay lets eat cake!
Fire! Don't worry Noah will put it out!
Thanks to everyone that came to his party in St. Cloud. It was really hard to get a good picture!

We have been busy this past month with our Little Man. He turned two on Nov. 15th. Where did the time go! He had three parties, one at the St. Cloud Holiday Inn, one for daycare, and one with my family. He is so good at blowing out candles now! I can't even keep my Yankee candle burning, he wants up to blow it out. He's had a few milestones this year. He can say a few words. Not as much as the doctor would like. She said he should have a vocabulary of about sixty words and say a few phrases. We may have to consider speech therapy this spring. He is in his own bed now. Speed Mcqueen from cars is everywhere in his room now. No more Winnie the Pooh. Oh yeah- I almost forgot he sleeps through the night! Finally!! We are still playing with the idea of potty-training. He knows what the chair is for, and he will sit there with a book and reads, but no potty yet.
Christmas is right around the corner. We got the tree up on Thanksgiving Day. Daddy also decorated the backyard and made it a real Winter Wonderland. Lights on all the trees and two different 10ft tall blow-up snowmen. He said he did it for Noah, but I think he wanted it for himself. It looks beautiful, especially with the snow that just fell. I'm a little scared to see what the electric bill will be. I'm a little slow on getting the x-mas cards out, but once I get the right picture I will get them sent.
My overnights at the hospital will be coming to and end the week of Christmas. I'm going to miss working the three nights a week, I saved alot on gas and daycare. For Mikes sake I better go back to days, he misses me, Aah Yuk!!
Mikes finals are next week so he's been spending alot of time studying. So far he has A's in everything. Noah and I are sure proud of him.
Mike, Noah and myself wish all of our family and friends a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We love you all.

Our little bat

For Halloween we were very busy. First we had Noahs daycare party. He had fun with the games and ate lots of tasty treats. After the party we went over to my moms for his first trick or treat of the night. We didn't stay long, we had to get home and hook up the trailer to the four-wheeler and we hauled all the neighborhood kids around. Thats the way to do it! Less walking. Noah figured out by the end of it that he wasn't suppose to run into peoples houses and that he was suppose to wait outside for his treats! Such a stinker! By 7:30 Noah and I went home and Mike and the kids hit the other end of the development. We weren't home for two seconds and ding-dong! Noah helped pass out the candy, he was kind of stingy so I had to help and throw in extra. We had a blast.

Fall of 08

I can't believe how fast fall has gone. I wanted to get out and get to some parks for the fall colors and we just never had a chance. Mike is back to school! His first semester at St. Cloud Tech for plumbing is almost done. He loves school and he loves the challenges it brings. I am proud of him for going, it been almost twenty years, and to jump into this, has got to be scary. He is the oldest in the class, but he doesn't seem to mind. Even though he is going to school he is finding a lot of time to hunt. He has been taking Libby (our Golden Retriever) and working her very hard. This weekend he went to New York Mills to deer hunt. So its another mother-and-son weekend. It sure is hard to think of things to keep him busy! Noah is such an active little man. He is getting so smart. However, still not fully talking. A week from today he will be the big "2". Of course he will get three birthdays again this year.
