Catching up since January

We have a had a busy few months, but things are finally slowing down. We had been preparing for the auction at the farm. That took alot of time and patience. Its hard to believe how much stuff my folks kept since they first met. Its been forty some years of accumulation. Mike did most of the work out in the woods, getting the old farm equipment pulled out. I did the house and the shop. It took about three months of preparation, up to the night before. The auction was April 21. Of course it rained and snowed, so it was a muddy mess. However, we had an excellent turn out. The auctioneer said that Mike and I did an excellent job boxing things up,labeling and organizing everything. Most of the time, families hire the auction company to go in and do all of that. We just didn't feel that was right. Let me tell ya, it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Not only physically but emotionally. Going through my dads personal belongings brought back alot of memories. But its over, everything sold.

Now I feel like Mike and I can really enjoy life again. So its time to play with Noah, get alittle fishing in and train Libby for some more tournaments. I am going to get better about taking pictures and keeping up with this blog. I'm not as original as some people, I need a little time to figure out how to use this site yet. Be patient with me! So here is a cluster of pictures since winter.

Noahs First Birthday

We are so blessed to have our "Little Man". I think he has taught mom and dad more about life, then what we have been teaching him. It is truly amazing all of the things he has learned in his short life. Everything from encouraging him to roll over, to teaching him where his nose is. He is just starting to say "Mama" and "Dada" and "Hi". His hobbies so far include reading books and to talk on the phone.
Noah had three birthday parties. His first was at daycare. Julie had made him a race car cake that had the number one on the doors. She decorated the house with banners and balloons and truly made it a special day for him. The second party was with Mikes side of the family up-north in Bemidji. Noahs aunt was getting married that weekend, so he had a Tux for the wedding and his party. Once again his Aunts, Uncles, gramma and cousins spoiled him. The third party was at our house, with my side of the family. Once again another cake. I think he developed a sweet tooth! Hes got so many toys, our house is full.

10/3107 Halloween

Here is Noah as a Rooster for his first Halloween. We only did our neighborhood, which consisted of maybe ten houses. It was to cold to do much with the little guy, plus we had to get home and pass out candy too.

Meet the rest of the family

Ashley is the queen of the house. She needs a lot of attention. Then there is our golden retriever, Libby. Libby is our problem child. After a long year she has finally out-grown her bad puppy habit of chewing holes in the walls. I think we finally have them all patched up!
